Dumb Luck
Project Summary
Dumb Luck is a competition format in development for the U. S. market, adapted from the Japanese series Kisuke. Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) is partnering with A. Smith & Co. Productions—the team behind American Ninja Warrior—to bring this chance-driven game show to American audiences. The format strips away traditional competition elements, relying entirely on luck as contestants navigate obstacle courses with randomized outcomes. A two-hour special already aired in Japan and won its time slot. TBS International and A. Smith & Co. are currently shopping the project to U. S. network and streaming buyers. The producing team includes Arthur Smith, Eli Baldrige, and Tim Dix from A. Smith & Co. , alongside Goshu Segawa, Elwin de Groot, and Shuji Maeda from TBS International.
