TBS (originally Turner Broadcasting System) is an American basic cable television network launched on December 17, 1976 by Ted Turner, now operated as a division of Warner Bros. Discovery's Global Linear Networks segment. Known for its comedy-focused programming, syndicated hits (Friends, The Big Bang Theory, The Office, American Dad), live sports coverage (MLB, AEW Dynamite), and original unscripted series (Impractical Jokers, Foul Play with Anthony Davis), TBS is one of the top ad-supported cable networks for Adults 25-54. The network's content is also available via streaming services including Max, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV, and is expected to become part of the stand-alone 'Discovery Global' company following Warner Bros. Discovery's planned corporate separation.
