Untitled Alex Garland Sci-Fi Film

Alex Garland is writing and directing an untitled science-fiction feature for A24, with Zendaya attached to star. The project represents a continuation of Garland's long-standing relationship with A24, which has distributed his films Ex Machina, Civil War, Men, and Warfare. Plot details remain under wraps. DNA Films' Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich are expected to produce, continuing their frequent collaboration with Garland on A24 projects. Production is scheduled to begin in 2027. The film marks another A24 collaboration for Zendaya, following her Emmy-winning role in Euphoria and her starring turn opposite Robert Pattinson in The Drama. Garland is currently in post-production on his big-budget video game adaptation Elden Ring, scheduled for theatrical release in March 2028.
