Project Summary
These Summer Storms is a drama series in development at Hulu, adapted from Sarah MacLean's 2025 novel. Written by Melanie Marnich, developer and showrunner of Peacock's Apples Never Fall, the series follows Alice Storm, who was cast out from her family's private island off the Rhode Island coast five years ago and built a life beyond the Storm name and billions. Her father's sudden death pulls her back into a week of family chaos, secrets, and an unexpected inheritance challenge. Erin and Sara Foster executive produce through their Fatigue Sisters production company, which holds an overall deal with 20th Television. The project joins the Fosters' slate following the success of their Netflix comedy Nobody Wants This. Oly Obst via 3 Arts and author Sarah MacLean also executive produce, with 20th Television serving as the studio.
