About

Peacock is an American subscription video-on-demand streaming service owned and operated by Comcast through its entertainment division NBCUniversal, launched on July 15, 2020. The service carries television shows and films from NBCUniversal brands — including NBC, Bravo, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, DreamWorks, and Illumination — as well as original series, live sports (Premier League, NFL, NBA, Olympics, WWE), and news content. As of Q1 2026, Peacock had more than 46 million paid subscribers and offers two tiers: Premium (ad-supported) and Premium Plus (mostly ad-free). It operates under the NBCUniversal Media Group, led by Chairman Matt Strauss.
