Project Summary
Tall Tales & Murder is moving into development on its second season following the September 2026 debut of season one on RTÉ. The darkly comedic crime series, co-created by Stuart Carolan (Love/Hate) and Chris Addison (Veep), received a two-season order from BBC Northern Ireland and RTÉ. Produced by Avalon in association with Metropolitan Pictures, the series is based on Caimh McDonnell's Dublin Trilogy novels and stars Ella Lily Hyland, Aidan Gillen, Philippa Dunne, and Packy Lee. The first season filmed in Dublin and Wicklow from June to August 2025. With international distribution by Avalon continuing to expand—recent sales include Filmin for Spain and Portugal, and Picbox for Central and Eastern Europe—the production team is now turning attention to planning the second season.
