Stag Dance

Stag Dance is a feature film adaptation of Torrey Peters' Pulitzer Prize-nominated novella, currently in development at Run-A-Muck Media. The production company, founded by Pamela Drucker Mann, Ilene Chaiken, and Jennifer Beals, is actively searching for a writer and director to bring the psychological thriller to the screen. Trevor Adley is attached as producer. The source material, published by Penguin Random House, was named a finalist for the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. The story follows Babe Bunyan and a group of lumberjacks in an illegal winter logging camp, where a planned dance sets off a chain of obsession, desire, and betrayal. With key creative roles still to be filled, the project is in the early stages of development and crew hiring will ramp up once a director comes aboard.
