Penguin Random House is the world's largest trade book publisher, formed on July 1, 2013, from the merger of Penguin and Random House, and wholly owned by Bertelsmann. Operating more than 300 editorially independent imprints across 21 countries on six continents, the company publishes over 15,000 new print titles and 70,000 digital titles annually in English, German, and Spanish. Its publishing lists include more than 80 Nobel Prize laureates and hundreds of the world's most widely read authors, with a mission to ignite a universal passion for reading by creating books for everyone.
