Salón De Belleza

Salón De Belleza marks the directorial debut of Mexican actress Nathalia Acevedo, best known for her performance in Carlos Reygadas's Post Tenebras Lux. The film is adapted from Mario Bellatin's Médicis Prize-nominated novel, with Acevedo writing the screenplay alongside Diego Sepulveda. The story centers on the Individuo, a solitary presence who tends to a beauty salon that becomes a space where time and place dissolve, where the lived, remembered, and imagined coexist in meditation on the fragility of existence. Belgian actor Sam Louwyck and Erwan Kepoa Falé lead the cast. Kintsugi Cine and Farol are producing, with The Pool Films handling worldwide sales and launching the project at the 2026 Cannes Market.
