The Pool Films

The Pool Films is a Paris-based international sales company co-founded in 2025 by sales veteran Gilles Sousa (formerly of Pulsar Content and Bac Films) and producer Tim Belda, backed by VFX powerhouse Digital District Group and the historic Victorine Studios in Nice. The company operates a distinctive one-stop-shop model encompassing international sales, financing, co-production, VFX/post-production services, and studio location access, with a focus on elevated genre films and auteur-driven projects. It leverages France's 40% VFX tax rebate and Digital District's technical infrastructure to attract and package international productions, with backers including Digital District Group CEO David Danesi who has committed €37 million in investment to the Victorine Studios over six years. The company debuted at AFM in November 2025 and made its Cannes Market debut in May 2026.
