Project Summary
Queen of the Damned represents the fourth season of AMC's Interview with the Vampire anthology series, following the network's pattern of retitling each season to match the Anne Rice novel being adapted. Hannah Moscovitch, who wrote for the first two seasons and served as executive producer on The Vampire Lestat (season 3), takes over showrunning duties from Rolin Jones, who created the series and will remain as executive producer alongside Mark Johnson. The renewal was announced at San Diego Comic-Con shortly after The Vampire Lestat concluded its run. Based on Rice's 1988 novel, the new season will focus on Akasha, the original vampire portrayed by Sheila Atim in season 3. The series is produced for AMC and AMC+, with no production start date yet announced.
