Hotline is a conspiracy crime drama series in development at Hulu and Sony Pictures Television. Created by John Swetnam, the project is being co-showrun by Swetnam and Steve Lightfoot, who most recently served as co-showrunner on Spider-Noir for MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video and previously developed Netflix's The Punisher. Paul Shapiro executive produces through his Back East Entertainment banner, which holds a deal with Sony Pictures Television. The series follows a call center operator navigating dangerous territory between law enforcement, criminal enterprises, and her own organization. As a development project at Hulu with experienced showrunners attached, the series represents an early-stage opportunity for crew and department heads once it moves toward production.
