Prime Video is Amazon's subscription video-on-demand and OTT streaming service, offering original films and TV series produced by Amazon MGM Studios alongside licensed content, live sports, and add-on channel subscriptions. Available in over 240 countries and territories, it is one of the world's most-subscribed streaming platforms with approximately 205 million paid memberships, and its U.S. ad-supported monthly audience has surpassed 130 million viewers as of 2025. The service has aggressively expanded into live sports (NFL Thursday Night Football, NBA, NASCAR, WNBA, NWSL) and theatrical film distribution, while also operating Amazon Channels, a marketplace offering 100+ add-on subscription services. Prime Video joined the Motion Picture Association (MPA) in October 2024 as its seventh member alongside Amazon MGM Studios.
