Disney Channel

Disney Channel is an American basic cable and satellite television network owned by The Walt Disney Company, serving as the flagship property of Disney Branded Television under the Disney Entertainment business segment. Launched on April 18, 1983, originally as a premium family-oriented channel, it rebranded in 1997 and shifted its programming focus to children and adolescents ages 6–14. The channel is best known for its Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs) and original scripted series, and as of November 2023 is available in approximately 70 million pay television households in the United States. Programming content also streams on Disney+.
