Barbaric

Barbaric is heading to Netflix as a medieval fantasy drama series based on the bestselling Vault Comics title created by Mike Moreci and Nathan Gooden. The project has been greenlit with Academy Award nominee Sheldon Turner serving as series creator, writer, and co-showrunner alongside Robert Rovner, best known for his work on CW's Supergirl. The series follows a crass barbarian cursed to only use his violence for good, sending him on a road of self-discovery, redemption, and revenge with his sentient axe and a young witch companion. A+E Studios is producing alongside Turner and Jennifer Klein's 100% Productions, with an executive producing team that includes Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, and Sam Claflin with his Soft Claw Productions partners. No production timeline or casting has been announced yet as deals are still being finalized.
