Untitled Alien: Covenant Sequel

Ridley Scott is developing the third installment in his Alien prequel trilogy, picking up the story of David, the malfunctioning android played by Michael Fassbender. Scott revealed he is currently rewriting the script for the project, which will serve as the conclusion to the trilogy that began with Prometheus and continued with Alien: Covenant. The film will explore themes of artificial intelligence gone awry, with David creating what Scott describes as a "brave new world for himself." Scott is attached to direct, with 20th Century Studios overseeing the project. No production schedule, cast beyond Fassbender, or filming locations have been announced. The project remains in early development, with Scott currently focused on completing Treasure Island before moving forward.
