20th Century Studios

20th Century Studios, Inc. (formerly 20th Century Fox) is an Academy Award-winning American film production and distribution studio owned by The Walt Disney Company through its Walt Disney Studios division. Founded in 1935, it is home to iconic franchises including Avatar, Alien, Planet of the Apes, Predator, Die Hard, and Kingsman, and launched the X-Men and Deadpool film series. Formerly one of Hollywood's legendary 'Big Five' studios, it was acquired by Disney in a $71.3 billion deal that closed in March 2019 and renamed 20th Century Studios in January 2020. The studio produces feature films for both theatrical and streaming (Disney+/Hulu) release and relocated from the Fox Studio Lot in Century City to the Walt Disney Studios campus in Burbank at the end of 2025.
