Treasure Island

Treasure Island is a feature film adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure novel, with Ridley Scott directing from a screenplay by Jack Thorne. Hugh Jackman is attached to star as Long John Silver, the one-legged cook who secretly leads a mutinous crew in pursuit of buried treasure. Scott is producing alongside Michael Pruss through Scott Free Productions. Sony Pictures is currently in negotiations to acquire the package, which was announced in June 2026 after 20th Century Studios passed on the project. The film represents Scott's next directorial effort following The Dog Stars, which releases in August 2026. No production start date or filming locations have been announced as the studio deal is finalized.
