Sir Matthew Vaughn (born Matthew Allard Robert Vaughn; 7 March 1971) is an English filmmaker and founder of Marv Studios, best known for directing and producing the Kingsman franchise (2014–2024), Kick-Ass (2010), X-Men: First Class (2011), Layer Cake (2004), Stardust (2007), and Argylle (2024). He co-founded Marv Studios with Guy Ritchie in 1997 and has built it into a major independent British production company responsible for Rocketman, Tetris, and multiple franchise properties. In April 2025, Vaughn launched UR•MARV, a new joint-venture independent film studio with Cristiano Ronaldo, which has already produced two completed action films with a third in active development. He was appointed a Knight Bachelor in the 2024 Prime Minister's Resignation Honours for services to the creative industries.
