The Mummy

The Mummy marks the return of the beloved franchise after nearly two decades, reuniting Oscar winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz as adventurers Rick and Evelyn O'Connell. Radio Silence's Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett direct from a screenplay by David Coggeshall. The production team includes franchise veteran Sean Daniel alongside Project X Entertainment's William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein, with Clayton Townsend also producing. Fraser executive produces with Hivemind's Jason F. Brown and Denis Stewart. Michael Johnston, breakout star of Focus Features' Obsession, is in early talks to join Fraser, Weisz, and returning cast member John Hannah. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in August 2026, with filming set for London and Morocco. Universal has the film dated for an October 15, 2027 theatrical release.
