Clayton Townsend (born February 9, 1961) is a veteran American film and television producer and DGA member with a career spanning over four decades. He is best known for a twelve-year creative partnership with Oliver Stone (Born on the Fourth of July, JFK, Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday) and an enduring collaboration with Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Bridesmaids, Funny People). His recent credits include Netflix's critically acclaimed limited series Ripley (Executive Producer, 2024 Emmy nominee, 2025 DGA Award winner) and the 2025 Sundance drama Last Days, directed by Justin Lin. He has been president of Itinerant Film Corporation, his Los Angeles-based private production company, since 1992.
