Project Summary
Safe Space is a provocative sci-fi romantic comedy in the financing stage, with Joey King and LaKeith Stanfield attached to star. King plays Sherrie, an intelligent but insecure scientist navigating toxic relationships in an increasingly screen-driven society. Gillian Wallace Horvat writes and directs, following her Independent Spirit Award-nominated debut I Blame Society. Karen Lunder produces through Outdoor Cat, with French sales outfit Lucky Number launching international sales at the American Film Market alongside CAA Media Finance and WME Independent. The project blends science fiction, romance, and comedy to explore how people bond and communicate in modern dating.
