WME Independent

WME Independent is the domestic film sales and financing arm of leading talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor), focused on film packaging, film financing consulting services, and domestic sales across multiple platforms. Launched on September 27, 2021 following the divestiture of Endeavor Content, it brought film sales services back inside the agency and has represented high-profile independent films at major festivals including Sundance, Cannes, Venice, Toronto, and Berlin, as well as at major markets including EFM and AFM. As of May 2026, the division exited international sales following the departure of co-head Alex Walton, and now operates as a domestic-only label under the sole leadership of Deborah McIntosh, leveraging strategic partnerships with foreign sellers for international deals in a model similar to CAA Media Finance.
