Ring Leader

Ring Leader is a horror comedy feature film from Vanessa Marano, who both produces and stars in the project through her production company Calabrian Rhode. The film is co-produced by British Columbia-based director Jason Lapeyre via his label Osaka Sunset Pictures, with Lapeyre also directing. Written by Elana Dunkelman and Becky Shrimpton, the bridal-party thriller explores the dark side of wedding culture and female friendship dynamics. The project is being presented at Fantasia Film Festival's Frontières Co-Production Market in Montreal, where the producing team is seeking financing partners. Production is planned for British Columbia, taking advantage of Canadian tax incentives. Marano founded Calabrian Rhode in 2018 with her mother Ellen and sister Laura Marano, previously producing The Royal Treatment for Netflix. Lapeyre's genre credits include Cold Blooded and I Declare War.
