Project Summary

Lollipop Chainsaw is a live-action feature film adaptation announced at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2026. The project is being developed as an R-rated action comedy prequel to the 2012 cult hit video game. The film follows Juliet Starling, a San Romero High School cheerleader from a legendary family of zombie hunters, as she fights through a catastrophic zombie outbreak to save her friends and family. The production is being assembled by an international team including producers Joe Teng of Nada Holdings, Robert Franke through his company Orange Chariot, Takafumi Yuki of Throne Inc, Kirk Shaw of Ambitious Entertainment, and Patricio Rabuffetti of Non Stop TV. The film is licensed from Dragami Games and is being positioned as part of a broader franchise expansion that also includes a new video game sequel and an anime adaptation. No director, cast, filming locations, or production schedule have been announced yet.
