Project Summary
Little Yugoslavia is a six-part dark comedy-horror series in development from writer-creators Teona Strugar Mitevska and Sonja Prosenc. The project follows two vampire queens, a mother and daughter both over 50 and both addicts, living in a modernist apartment complex in a post-socialist setting where residents mysteriously disappear. Conceived as a response to the male-dominated television landscape in the region, the series developed through the French CNC's Going European fund and won the Female Voices CineLink Award at the 2026 Sarajevo Film Festival. Production companies attached include Sisters and Brother Mitevski and Belgian outfit Entre chien et loup, with Monoo also involved. The team is currently seeking broadcasters and pre-sales opportunities as they move toward production.
