Her Hidden Fire is moving forward as an eight-part young adult series, with Irish production company Great Island optioning the rights to Clíodhna O'Sullivan's debut romantasy novel. The series will center on Éadha, a servant who has survived by remaining unseen in a world where magic is drawn from enslaved people called Fodder. When she secretly gives her hidden power to Ionáin, the last heir to his family and the boy she loves, she binds herself to an academy built on exploitation. Great Island, a Cork-based production company founded by Mark Kenny and Jim Robinson, is expanding its scripted slate with this YA property. The novel was published by Penguin in March 2026 and became a USA Today and UK bestseller, as well as an Amazon Editors' Best Book of 2026 and a Good Morning America literary pick.
