Project Summary
Bottle marks the fourth collaboration between actor Guy Pearce and Irish filmmaker Andrew Baird, following Zone 414, Sunrise, and the upcoming The Marshal. Pearce stars as Jimmy, a pub owner with a violent history who imprisons a troubled young man named Cillian after he breaks into the bar seeking a pint. The single-location thriller centers on Cillian's fight to survive the night and understand Jimmy's motives. Roberto Forte and Eamonn O'Brien penned the screenplay, with Baird describing the project as inherently Irish, reflecting a dark, traumatic world from his upbringing. FJ Productions' Fabio Golombek and Shannon Alexander are producing alongside Samson Films' David Collins, with Marco Gomez executive producing. Production will shoot on location in Ireland, though no start date has been announced.
