Project Summary
Future Housewives is a sci-fi drama series in development at Peacock, marking a meta crossover for reality TV star Ariana Madix. Created by Brannon Braga—the veteran Star Trek writer and producer who also worked on The Orville—the series blends science fiction with a satirical take on the reality TV world that made Madix famous. Madix will star as a young, starry-eyed outsider who unexpectedly disrupts the lives of wealthy socialites in the asteroid colony of New Beverly Hills. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins executive produce through MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions, with Madix producing via her newly launched Over Fences banner, making this the company's first scripted project. Virtual reality expert Jaron Lanier serves as co-executive producer. Universal Global Television is the studio. The project is currently in development with no production start date announced.
