Before I Let Go

Before I Let Go has received a series order at Peacock after several years in development. Based on Kennedy Ryan's bestselling novel from her Skyland series, the romantic drama follows Yasmen and Josiah Wade, a divorced couple navigating co-parenting and a shared restaurant business in Atlanta while confronting the lingering connection between them. Author Kennedy Ryan and director Malcolm D. Lee created the series and co-wrote the pilot episode. Attica and Tembi Locke, the sibling team behind Netflix's From Scratch, will serve as showrunners and writers alongside Ryan and Lee. The project is produced by Universal Global Television and Universal Television, with executive producers including Dominique Telson for Blackmaled Productions, John Legend and Mike Jackson for Get Lifted Film Co. , and Debra Martin Chase. With the series order now secured, the production moves into pre-production as the creative team prepares to bring Ryan's story of love, loss, and healing to the screen.
