Project Summary
Mighty Aphrodite Pictures is developing an authorized biopic about U. S. Army Specialist Vanessa Guillén, whose 2020 disappearance and murder at Fort Hood sparked nationwide calls for military reform. Annie Gonzalez has been cast as lead, portraying Mayra Guillén, Vanessa's sister and a driving force behind the family's advocacy work. Jolene Rodriguez and Jorge Xolalpa serve as producers through Mighty Aphrodite Pictures and Broken English Productions, with Mayra Guillén, Natalie Khawam, and Alejandra Palomera executive producing. The project, developed in collaboration with the Guillén family, remains in development as the team searches for a director.
