Untitled Alex Garland Sci-Fi Project

Alex Garland returns to his sci-fi roots with an untitled original feature for A24, marking his fifth collaboration with the studio. Zendaya will lead the project, which Garland wrote and will direct. The film continues Garland's relationship with A24 following Ex Machina, Men, Civil War, and Warfare. Plot details remain under wraps for now. This also marks another A24 collaboration for Zendaya, who starred in the studio's HBO series Euphoria and this year's dark comedy The Drama opposite Robert Pattinson. Production is expected to begin sometime in 2027, following Garland's completion of post-production on A24's big-budget Elden Ring adaptation, which wrapped shooting earlier in 2026 and is scheduled for a March 2028 release.
