The Third Hotel

FirstGen is developing a feature adaptation of Laura van den Berg's 2018 psychological horror novel The Third Hotel. Michelle Garza Cervera, the Mexico City-based director behind Huesera: The Bone Woman, has boarded to direct, with Isa Mazzei (Cam, Faces of Death) adapting the screenplay. The novel follows Clare, a recent widow who encounters her supposedly dead husband in a Latin American city, plunging into a surreal pursuit that unravels her grip on reality. FirstGen's recent credits include The Testament of Ann Lee and Andrea Arnold's Bird. No production timeline or cast has been announced.
