The Present Times

The Present Times is a paparazzi tragicomedy from writer-director Noah Stratton-Twine, following his debut feature The Peril at Pincer Point, which won the Neon Auteur Award at SXSW 2026. The project has assembled an executive producer lineup that includes Oscar-winning screenwriter Eric Roth, producer Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Andrew Upton of Dirty Films, and Anne Peters. Daniel Weyman leads the cast in what's described as a fable-like exploration of the paparazzi world. Dirty Films is the production company founded by Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton, known for Carol and Mrs. America. The project represents a significant step up for Stratton-Twine, an English filmmaker known for character-driven storytelling with a do-it-yourself ethos.
