Project Summary
The Poison Daughter is in development at Hulu as a drama series adaptation of Sheila Masterson's viral romantasy novel. The project, produced by 20th Television, centers on Harlow Carrenwell, the poison-lipped youngest daughter of a magical founding family who uses her lethal kiss to eliminate opposition until she encounters Henry Havenwood, her new betrothed who mysteriously survives her touch and discovers her secret vigilante identity. Masterson, whose self-published debut sold over 250,000 copies and became a USA Today bestseller before being acquired by Slowburn in April 2026, will executive produce the adaptation. The series is currently in early development and seeking a writer to adapt the standalone novel for television.
