The Furry Wild West

The Furry Wild West is a full-length animated feature in development at AI production studio Arcana Labs. Created by Grammy-nominated musician and children's author Oren Lavie, the action-comedy reimagines the Wild West as a kid-friendly spaghetti Western populated by anthropomorphic animals, centering on a lion gunslinger and his canine companion. Arcana Labs, led by CEO Jonathan Yunger, has optioned the project and plans to use AI technology specifically for the animation phase, with human artists handling scripts, character design, storyboards, and shot execution. The studio, which previously produced the AI short film Echo Hunter, aims to produce the feature at a fraction of traditional animation budgets. No production timeline, location, or distribution partners have been announced.
