Project Summary
Summer Session is in development as both a microdrama and a feature film, adapted from Clarence Hammond's romantic short story. Kristen Brancaccio will direct both versions, bringing her extensive microdrama experience—including directing Issa Rae's Screen Time, which garnered over 250 million views on TikTok—to the dual-format project. Brancaccio will first develop the vertical-format microdrama, while Hammond adapts his own story for the feature screenplay. Hammond is producing alongside Maria Frisk and Michael Napoliello from Ancora Entertainment, with Katie Zipkin-Leed of Artists First and Matt Shepley of Select Management Group also serving as producers. Plot details remain under wraps as the projects move through early development.
