Return to the Motherfreaking Fun Factory

North of Moorpark has optioned film rights to Return to the Motherfreaking Fun Factory, a horror novel by Neil Kleid set for publication by Blackstone Publishing in October 2026. The feature adaptation follows four morally ambiguous young adults seeking revenge on the twisted toymaker who terrorized them as children in a deadly contest for toys. Russell Hollander, a producer and literary manager at Fourth Wall Management, is producing alongside Aisling Lynch for North of Moorpark, with Josh Stanton and Brendan Deneen of Blackstone Publishing also producing. Kleid is a Xeric Award-winning graphic novelist whose works include Brownsville, The Big Kahn, and Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt. The project is in early development following the option deal ahead of the novel's publication.
