Project Summary
Oma is a psychological horror feature in pre-production from writer-directors Bianca and Dilara Foscht, the Austrian twin filmmakers now based in Los Angeles. The ensemble film follows a nurse transferred to the remote Austrian Alps to care for an elderly woman with severe disabilities, only to find herself trapped in a surrealistic nightmare. The Foscht twins will direct and play supporting roles while still casting the title character. Producer Ilayda Cetinkaya joins executive producers Michael Goi and Brent Huff, with cinematographer Leo Behrens attached. Foscht Twins Entertainment is producing. The team is currently assembling financing, with filming locations being considered across Slovakia, Italy, and potentially multiple European countries to keep the independent production contained. The project is fiscally sponsored by Film Independent and was selected for the SEEFest 2025 Accelerator program.
