Project Summary
Kill Current marks the first project from Two Dragonflies, the newly launched production banner founded by Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant. The Arena has preemptively acquired and will finance the thriller, which adapts Oliver Lowe's upcoming novel Kill Current: A Jon Hendricks Thriller. Reeves will star as Jon Hendricks, a former CIA operative drawn back into espionage when his trainee vanishes during an operation involving cutting-edge technology that multiple governments are racing to control. The Arena, led by former Lionsgate executive Erik Feig, positions the project as a potential franchise starter. Molly Stern and her publisher Zando will executive produce alongside Two Dragonflies. The source novel won't be published until May 2027, indicating the film adaptation is in very early development stages with no director, production dates, or shooting locations yet announced.
