Project Summary
Golf Trip is an R-rated buddy comedy that Sony has acquired from Mortal Media, the production company founded by former NBA All-Star Blake Griffin and former NFL center Ryan Kalil. Max Searle, co-creator and showrunner of Amazon's upcoming Barbershop series, is writing the screenplay. The film follows three friends who are the last of their old golf group willing to make time for their annual trip. When one friend refuses to let the tradition die, he convinces the others to join him at one of Scotland's oldest and most exclusive clubs, where they encounter a world of extreme wealth and aristocratic chaos. Mortal Media operates under a multi-year first-look deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment for film and television projects.
