The Unmoving Hands

The Unmoving Hands (Las manos quietas) is a queer fantasy-horror feature from Barcelona-based director Víctor Diago, currently in development through the Madrid Film School (ECAM) Incubator program. The film is set in Barcelona's El Raval neighborhood and follows Hakim (or Hector), a young man who recruits street youth for the Doctor, a 140-year-old figure who feeds on their vital energy in exchange for power and the illusion of love. When Hakim falls for Bilal, a new victim, he confronts his moral compass and attempts escape. Produced by Andrés Mellinas of Diacrònic and co-produced by Boogaloo Films, the project has participated in the Crossroads Co-Production Forum in Thessaloniki and the Mediterranean Film Institute script lab. The production has secured a distribution deal with Spanish streaming platform Filmin and is actively seeking international co-producers. With federal and regional development funds in place, the team is working toward regional and national television support before moving into pre-production.
