Project Summary

Get Smart is back in development at Warner Bros. , with comedian John Mulaney in early talks to lead the feature reimagining of the classic spy comedy franchise. Seth Grahame-Smith is writing the screenplay for the project, which returns producers Charles Roven and Andrew Lazar, who both produced the 2008 Get Smart feature that starred Steve Carell and grossed $230 million worldwide. The original series, created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, debuted in 1965 and ran for 138 episodes through 1970, following bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart as he battled the evil organization Kaos. The project is still in early development stages, with no production timeline or additional casting announced.
