Warner Bros. Pictures is an American major film studio and the flagship production and distribution arm of the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment (itself a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery). Founded on April 4, 1923, it is headquartered at the 142-acre Warner Bros. Studios complex in Burbank, California, and is one of Hollywood's 'Big Five' major studios and the third oldest American film studio still in continuous operation. The studio produces and theatrically distributes a broad global slate of live-action features and, through Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, animated features, with iconic franchises including DC, Harry Potter/Wizarding World, The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, The Matrix, and many more.
