Fruit Fly

Fruit Fly is in development as a limited series at A24 UK, adapted from Josh Silver's debut adult novel. The provocative literary satire follows Mallory, a once-celebrated author facing years of writer's block, who becomes fixated on Leo, a young homeless addict trading sex for survival, as the subject for her next bestselling book. Author Josh Silver, a former actor and mental health nurse known for his YA novels HappyHead and TraumaLand, will serve as executive producer on the adaptation. A24 UK, led by Piers Wenger and Rose Garnett, won the rights following a competitive bidding process. The project joins A24 UK's expanding slate of queer literature adaptations, which includes Alexis Hall's Boyfriend Material and other recent novel acquisitions. No production timeline, network partner, or additional creative team has been announced.
