Project Summary
Diablo is an animated series in early development at Netflix, based on Blizzard Entertainment's iconic action-RPG franchise. The project was announced by Blizzard president Johanna Faries at BlizzCon 2026 in Anaheim, marking a major expansion of the Diablo universe beyond gaming. Set in the dark world of Sanctuary, the series will explore humanity caught between the eternal conflict of the High Heavens and the Burning Hells. Blizzard is partnering with Netflix and unspecified creative teams to bring the franchise's dark fantasy lore to screen. The announcement comes during Diablo's 30th anniversary year, following the successful 2023 launch of Diablo IV. No creative team, production timeline, or release window has been revealed, with Blizzard stating that more details will be shared in the future.
