Champions of Nowhere

Champions of Nowhere is a feature documentary in development from Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Moses Bwayo, whose previous work Bobi Wine: The People's President earned critical acclaim. The film launches a three-picture partnership between Thomas Pierce's Pierce Capital Entertainment, the finance and production company behind The Brutalist, and Munich-based FilmCrew Media, the production house behind Kenya's Oscar submission Nawi: Dear Future Me. Bwayo will direct through his Los Angeles-based Jajja Productions. The documentary centers on a Kenya soccer story, continuing FilmCrew's focus on East African narratives and Pierce Capital's commitment to culturally significant independent cinema. No production timeline or additional creative team has been announced.
