Brothers Land

Brothers Land is a Spanish Civil War drama in development from director Paula Ortiz, whose previous credits include The Red Virgin, Teresa, and The Bride. The project teams AF Films with producer Shannon McIntosh via her McIntosh Films banner. Based on a 2018 article by Spanish author Arturo Pérez-Reverte titled La Tierra de Nadie, the film follows a young soldier fighting on the front lines who reflects on the pain of loss and senselessness of war. In a trench near no man's land, he unexpectedly encounters his brother, who is fighting for the opposing side, and their brief moment of connection becomes the emotional core of the story. The project was announced at the 2026 Cannes Film Market, with production details and shooting schedules not yet disclosed.
