Brave Knight

Brave Knight is an animated musical feature currently being packaged at the Cannes market by Lookbook Entertainment. Written and directed by Zachary Derek, the project follows three heroes in the medieval kingdom of Northumbria as they work to expose a royal conspiracy. When illness strikes the king, Prince Tristan embarks on a dangerous quest while his younger brother William—a neurodivergent, non-verbal character—uncovers the plot at home with help from magical stable girl Alora and her ally Constance. The film features original songs and score by composers Sharon Kenny and Kirsten Guenther, who also serve as producers alongside Juan Pablo Reinoso and Derek. Five cast members have been announced: Sydney Agudong, Skylar Astin, Meg Donnelly, Jordan Fisher, and Peyton List, with Donnelly and List in talks to executive produce. The project is being developed simultaneously as both an animated feature and a stage musical.
