Untitled Liz Heldens & Matt Ward Apple TV+ Comedy

Apple TV+ has greenlit an untitled half-hour comedy series starring Elizabeth Banks, created and showrun by Liz Heldens and Matt Ward. Banks leads the ensemble as Heidi, a divorcée navigating a fresh start while managing her father's retirement-community love life. The series has added Rob Delaney, Ted Danson, and Katey Sagal to the cast. Production is set to begin in Los Angeles in 2026 under a California tax credit. The project reunites Heldens and Ward, who previously collaborated on Mercy and The Big Leap, and comes from 20th Television, where Heldens holds an overall deal. Jonathan Krisel will direct the pilot. Executive producers include Banks, Max Handelman, and Krissy Wall through Brownstone Productions, along with Quinn Haberman for Selfish Mermaid and Jason Winer and Jon Radler for Small Dog Picture Company.
